I love watching things grow.  Kids have been fun the last few weeks.  Adventuring, getting ready for school, pulling out the next size clothes.  Going through pictures of the summer and comparing my garden was interesting too.  It's a monster that won't quit!  I've pruned and pinched and picked and it's crazy big.

Here it is in June sometime:

And today!

I picked this watermelon this morning.  The curly tendril closest to the melon finally turned brown and it sounded hollow when knocked on so I thought we'd give it a try.  It's the most delicious watermelon I've ever tasted.  Seriously.  The kids thought it was fun picking out the black seeds too.  Since we all buy seedless now days.  I'm tempted to only grow watermelon next year, it was that good.

First day of First Grade

Here's my girl getting herself some toast.  Isn't she beautiful?!

Can you see that she added all kinds of fancy curly cues to her name?  What a girl.  : )

Camp Out Adventure

We had a fun day!  Our church had a camp out over the weekend.  One of our outings was to a waterfall that, in any other part of the country, would be posted and fenced off.  It was ridiculously dangerous but so beautiful and one of those risks worth taking.  It took a line of people standing down a series of waterfalls to pass our group's kids to the landing.  So cool.  Here's us a the top, not wet or muddy.

You can see the specs of people down in the pool landing below the falls.  That's where we're headed, by walking down them.  8 )

Our local family.

View looking up from the pool landing.  Isn't this amazing!?
